We at The Fitting Room believe that matching a Technical Designer’s skill set
and experience with a client’s needs is essential to the success of the job.
Our services can provide the talent and resources to build the right fit for your brand. By identifying the correct fit models, developing mannequins and or providing the best technical design and TD support, we can assure you that your design vision is executed correctly, efficiently and on calendar. New development, day-to-day production fittings
and corrections; The Fitting Room has the quality staffing and talent to get the job done.
The Technical Designers are evaluated to determine their compatibility to fit the client’s needs using the following criteria:
• Design school background
• Experience working with Web PDM, Adobe Illustrator, and Excel
• Strong retail/wholesale background and trend awareness
• Knowledge of garment construction and fitting skills
• Attention to detail, initiative and strong verbal & written
communication skills
• Patternmaking, grading, draping skills and the ability to
correct patterns through sketches, photos or actual patterns
We have TD’s at the following levels:
Intermediate:
Sample measurements and specs, fit notes, Web PDM entries
Mid Level:
All the above plus manage fittings, process fit comments and pattern corrections
Senior/Manager:
All of the above and the ability to manage Technical Designers, interact with cross-functional
partners within the organization and assure adherence to company calendar.
